i wonder why when women write teen novels they’re categorized as chicklit yet when jgreen writes teen novels hes a nyt best selling author and praised as understanding the tru nature of teens nvm i know why

There is an equivalent. Ladlit is a thing and its trivialized all the time for describing the male experience in a way thats less than heroic and hypermasculine. There’s definitely a double standard with teen fiction though, but most teen fiction is guff anyway

Y’all are super into body positivity yet I see the same people reblogging posts that are basically calling men under 5’11” “unfuckable” idk you’re reinforcing the idea that height is a masculine trait which hurts more than just cis men think about how it affects short trans men, tall trans women, and tall cis women. but what do I know I’m just a Rob Schneider fan blog

So much to do in the next 2 weeks and I’m not as stressed as I traditionally would be. I’m doing alright for a change and I don’t want stress to pull me back into the dark.

Anxiety has me gripped by the throat. Everything about this week makes me want to run as far away as i can. I don’t have anything under control.

“The thing I’m most excited about is women in comedy being such a normal thing that no one’s surprised by it anymore. And, I feel like we’re way past needing to prove that that can be done. Obviously, in the last few years, there have been movies and TV shows that have shown that they can also be commercially successful.” (x)
